The above association was officially
named at a meeting at Wolverhampton C.S.C in August of this
year 2005. However the inception of this Association was proposed much
earlier at a meeting organised by a Celtic minded person from
Swindon, David Turnbull who thought it would be a good idea to get
Celtic people from all over the above named regions together to see
what we could achieved.
At that meeting four to five C.S.C. were represented . Forgive me if I omit any of the clubs that were present on that day. Bristol C.S.C., Birmingham C.S.C., Swindon C.S.C. Oxon C.S.C. Swindon C.S.C. I can't recall if S. Wales or Cheltenham C.S.C. were present . Anyway our initial reasons for forming such an Association was to give all our members a bigger say hopefully around Celtic Park . At a meeting in Bristol a Committee was formed to represent the now established Association . The usual positions were filled, Chairman, Secretary, Treasurers ( these were not appointed at this time but have since been filled ) Social Convener, and a Ticket Officer. We now have a voice at Celtic Park, in particular in the Ticket Office. A large representation attended a Testimonial match at the end of last season, also any tickets for Celtic Home or Away fixtures requested for this season have been made available to the Association. So in short time we have taken our first formative steps, and it is anticipated that if Celtic Football Club were ever granted access to the echelons of the Premier League we would be somewhat prepared for it.
